Welcome to Ivan Emeny Guitar Restoration and Repair

Hi. I'm Ivan.

I've been playing the guitar for over forty years and repairing, building and restoring them professionally since 2004 at my first physical shop, Guitar Medic and for Sundown Guitars in Diss, Norfolk.

Over the years I've repaired, set-up and restored probably hundreds of guitars and fretted instruments (including banjos, mandolins, mandolas and bowl back mandolins) I have worked on vintage guitars including Fender, Martin, Gibson Taylor, Gretsch, Yamaha, Ibanez, Seagull, Ibanez, Charvel and counless others.

I love working on and playing guitars, basses and fretted instruments. I've worked on professional artists, session people and amateur's guitars.

I take pride in bringing every guitar I work on to be the  best it can be.

How long does a guitar restoration typically take?

The time for a guitar repairs can vary depending on the extent of the work needed, but  I always try to complete all work within one to two weeks. 

Do you offer pickup and delivery services for repairs?

No, at present I do not have a collection and return service. all repairs must be delivered and collected to and from my address by the customer.

What styles of music do you teach in your lessons?

I teach steel string acoustic and electric guitar to absolute beginners and improvers, from seven years old to any age.

I specialise in folk, pop, blues and rock styles. music theory, tab songwriting and Rockschool to grade 5.
